Terms of Use

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using the Balance platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Balance Learning Ltd is an independent training provider; AAT qualifications are awarded by the Association of Accounting Technicians.

2. Your account

• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
• You must not share your account or allow others to use it.
• You must be at least 16 years old, or have a guardian's consent if younger.

3. Membership and payments

Paid memberships give access to learning materials, assessments and simulations while your subscription is active. Subscription fees are billed in advance through our payment provider. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Please note that AAT exam registration and exam-centre fees are separate and are paid directly to the AAT or your exam centre.

4. Refunds

You may request a refund within 14 days of a new subscription purchase, provided you have not completed a substantial part of the relevant materials. Renewal payments are non-refundable once the renewal period has begun. Contact info@balanceaccountancy.co.uk to request a refund.

5. Using the materials

• All content is for your personal, non-commercial study use.
• You must not copy, redistribute or republish the materials.
• You must not scrape, download in bulk, or resell any content.
• You must not attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the platform.

6. No guarantee of results

We work hard to provide accurate, high-quality learning materials. However, your exam results depend on your own study and effort. We do not guarantee that you will pass any particular AAT assessment.

7. Limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Balance is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid us in the previous 12 months.

8. Changes to the service

We may update, add or remove content, features and pricing. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes that affect your membership.
